Citizenship St.-Kitts & Nevis

After some political and diplomatic pressure from the USA and the UK nearly everywhere programs that allow citizenship by investment were terminated.Nowadays there are only two countries that officially allow obtaining citizenship by investment in a reasonably short period of time. In Saint-Kitts & Nevis the whole procedure of getting second passport can take from 5 to 7 months. In the Commonwealth of Dominica the procedure can take up to 8 months. These two programs are the only two “citizenship by investment programs” in the world in the strict sense of the wording “citizenship by investment”. Certainly, there are other countries that allow to obtain citizenship “for special merits” or “for special contribution” into economy or some other sphere (Guatemala, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Cyprus and Austria). But in these states the concrete amount of investment or donation that is appropriate and good for second citizenship purpose is not specified.
